Faraday was founded in 2012 as a Private Investors Club investing in Spanish innovative startups. With its foundation, Faraday Venture Partners sought to make up for the lack of effective alternatives that existed for busy Business Angels, who lacked the time, contacts or experience to build a diversified portfolio of Venture Capital investments.
As results, after more than 7 years and a portfolio of nearly 30 investee companies, Faraday decided to become a regulated fund management company in 2019, Faraday Venture Capital SGEIC, S.A., supervised by the national Stock Exchange Commission in Spain.
While we continue to channel our investments through closed collective investment funds/vehicles (FICCs), we also continue to maintain the essence of our founding spirit, which was to make Venture Capital investments available to everyone. This new structure therefore coexists with the previous one.
One year later, in 2020, we also set up our first European Venture Capital Fund that invests in Europe's best innovative startups.
