Event Valencia: “Resilience and Leadership”

Annual Dinner 2024

We are pleased to share our traditional Christmas message from our Founder and CEO, Gonzalo Tradacete.

In his speech, Gonzalo reflects on the events that have shaped the Venture Capital landscape in Spain and Europe throughout 2024, highlighting key milestones achieved. He emphasizes how resilience and innovation have become essential pillars for navigating an ever-evolving environment.

Quarterly Event: “Two Sides of the Coin: From Entrepreneur to Venture Capital Investor”

On Wednesday, 08/10/2024, we hosted our third Quarter Event at the beautiful Auren offices in Madrid.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome for our guests, followed by an update on Faraday's latest activities. We then held an engaging Fire-Side Chat with Jordán Díaz, Founder and CEO of Vancubic.

Next, we hosted a roundtable discussion featuring Marta Amorós (Amorós Arbaiza) and Carlos Morales (CM Wealth Managers), where we explored wealth management from a strategic perspective. Key topics included generational succession, tax incentives for optimizing investments, diversification through Venture Capital assets, and investment returns.

The final roundtable of the evening focused on the journeys of several CEOs from our portfolio companies: Federico Sainz (Sepiia), Telmo Güell (Beemine), and Manuel Palao (Lendismart). They shared their experiences transitioning from startup founders to private investors. We examined the motivations behind their shift from entrepreneurs to venture capital investors, their experience investing in Faraday Europa II, and the valuable lessons they've learned about how their entrepreneurial background shapes their investment decisions.

Summer Event: “Breaking Barriers: Diversify your wealth with unconventional investments”

On Wednesday, 19/06/2024, we hosted our annual Summer Event at the wonderful Bless Hotel in Madrid.

The event began with a warm welcome for the guests, followed by an update on Faraday's latest activities.

Subsequently, our CEO and Founder provided a brief update of our newest fund, Faraday Europa II, VCF. This was followed by a series of Fireside Chats with key figures from our recently invested portfolio companies, featuring Darío Pérez, CFO of Kmina, Rafael Bover, COO of Hotelverse, Julio Ribes, CEO of Holaglow, and Gustavo García, CEO of Catcher.

Quarterly Event: “Common Exit routes for Venture Capital investors”

On Wednesday, 03/04/2024, we had the pleasure of hosting our quarterly Faraday Event in collaboration with BME Growth and Scaleup at the impressive Palacio de la Bolsa in Madrid.

The event agenda was packed with exciting content! We began with a presentation highlighting the latest activities and investments of Faraday and BME Growth, where we introduced the founders of our newest portfolio companies, Cristian Martín (Landatu Solar) and Ángel Sánchez (EZ Telecom). As well as an interesting Fire-side chat with Federico Sainz de Robles (Sepiia).

Following the presentation of our second fund Faraday Europa II, we delved into a thought-provoking roundtable discussion exploring the most common exit routes for Venture Capital investors: IPOs, sale of stakes or funds to larger investors, or acquisition by industrial buyers. Event Wayra Munich:

This past 20/03/2024 we had the pleasure of gathering a diverse group of professionals for an engaging evening of discussions and networking at the remarkable offices of Wayra Munich.

The event kicked off with a presentation of our second fund, Faraday Europa II. Following that, we delved into two panel discussions featuring companies from both our portfolio and Wayra's.

The first panel explored the intricacies of Digital Product Development, featuring Florian Polak from Tucan.ai and Tim Haug from Enna Care.

Wrapping up the evening, we hosted a panel discussion with Stella Sorg from Mersor and Florian Kriependorf from Scrapbees, focusing on the optimization of success through the examination of product and operational efficiencies.

Event Barcelona: “How to invest in Startups and not die trying”

This past 13/03/2024 we brought together a diverse group of professionals for an evening of insightful discussions and networking at the stunning offices of our portfolio company Pangea - The Travel Store.

From engaging presentations to thought-provoking panel discussions, the event provided attendees with valuable insights into the startup ecosystem and investment opportunities. We welcomed the CEOs of our resident portfolio company: Alfonso Fuertes Ollé (Segle Clinical), Alex Abril Egea (FLiPO) and Martín Simón Rúa (GeekSquare) speaking to them about their evolution and challenges.

Following the presentation of our second fund Faraday Europa II, we concluded our event with an enriching roundtable discussion. We hosted experienced Business Angels, José Antonio González (Partner at Deloitte) and Antonio Macià (Founder & CEO of Hidra Partners) who shared their invaluable experiences and insights with us.

Faraday’s First International Summer Event
